[PokeCity Heroes] Nirav Vaneel

- Quiet - Nirav is a boy of few words, and intentionally doesn't speak to anyone except with signs and a little dry erase board.
- Shy - Meeting and confronting people is not exactly his specialty, and it actually makes him a little nervous.
- Honest - He was always taught as a child that honesty is the best way to make friends and making people happy, so he does his very best to be as honest as possible.
- Polite - His parents also raised Nirav to be as kind and courteous as possible to anyone he meets, no matter how intimidating they may be.  No matter what, he will always address someone by 'sir' or 'ma'am', and will never forget his P's and Q's, unless told otherwise.  Bowing as a greeting and departure is also included in his long list of manners he was taught to follow.
- Easily Flustered - It really doesn't take much to embarrass him... really.  Just mentioning anything perverted or complimenting him is more than enough to make him blush.
- Gentle - Nirav is anything but violent or hostile, and very much likes to preserve himself in troublesome situations, often times just trying to find a way to get to safety.
- Klutzy - When he's not floating around, Nirav is very clumsy on his feet and tends to trip a lot, as well as drop things and run into people.
- Absentminded - More often than not, Nirav can be found daydreaming and staring off at nothing in particular, sometimes not noticing if someone is talking to him.
- Forgetful - As polite as Nirav tries to be, he has a TERRIBLE habit of forgetting faces if he's only seen them a few times.  Though this is true, he feels absolutely terrible if someone tells him they've met before when he tries to give them a first time greeting.

[ h i s t o r y ] :: LOL I FINALLY GOT IT DONE AFTER HOW LONG?

✿   Listening to classical music and practicing his singing.  It's one of the main things he does in his free time, which he tends to have quite a lot of.
✿   Cleaning.  Being a housekeeper has made a little particular on how he cleans, but being able to do so makes him happy since he's able to help out somehow.
✿   Texting.  Since he doesn't speak much, he makes sure to text any friends that he makes as often as they'll let him.  It helps him feel as if he's still trying to maintain a relationship, even though he doesn't speak much.
✿   Learning as much sign language as he possibly can.  When it's one of the only ways you talk to people, it helps to know all you can.
✿   Watching Netflix with the boyf.  Who doesn't like a few snuggles from someone you adore while watching some corny romantic comedy?

✔   Listening to any stringed instruments.  Violins and pianos are his favorite, and are very relaxing for him to listen to.  If he hears someone playing one, he tends to go out and find them so he can stand nearby to listen.
✔   Anyone who treats him gently.  It makes him feel much more comfortable to try and speak to the person.
✔   People who make him smile.  Be it someone telling a joke, telling a funny story, or just being goofy to cheer him up, he always welcomes someone who can bring a smile to his face.
✔   Long, hot shower or bathes.  They allow him to be completely relaxed without having to worry about anyone disrupting him.  Hot tubs are also very nice.
✔   Receiving flowers.  They've always been considered very pretty to him.
✔   Any and all animals.  It doesn't matter the size, the amount of fluff (or lack thereof), or how bizarre they might look.  No animal goes unloved when he's around.
✔   Playing video games.  He doesn't do it very often, but when he's got the time and he doesn't feel like going out of the house, he likes to try out a few different rpgs.
✔   Watching movies.  It's nothing super fancy, and he doesn't like going out to a movie theater to watch new releases, but being able to sit down and watch something nice helps calm him down.  If he has someone to watch with, it makes the situation far more comfortable and relaxing for him.
✔   Taking late night walks.  He usually bundles up since it's considerably colder at night, but since there are less people out and never usually stay out to enjoy the fresh air, he really enjoys walking out late as often as he can.  If he has a late night shift at work, he tends to leave his car at the apartment to walk there and then walk back home to enjoy the night air.
✔   Salty foods.  Potato chips are a particular favorite... and when combined with homemade ranch dip, he's as happy as can be.
✔   People who make an effort to talk to him more than once. While he has issues remembering people and faces, once he's able to recognize someone, he truly appreciates just knowing that he's standing out enough to someone to want to approach him enough times to remember them.
✔   Black and other dark colors.  He has no particular reason for liking them, other than the fact that bright colors give him a headache if looking at them too long.
✔   Caramel.  Caramel filled chocolates are his favorite things to munch on, though he tries not to have too many of of them since they tend to make him sick. (it's totally worth it to him though)
✔   Sleeping in his brother's bed while he's away.  It helps him feel closer to him since he's usually gone for long periods of time.
✔   The beach.  It had always been a goal of his to go, and now that Matt was able to take him, he'll be planning on going back as often as he can.
✔   Matt.  Well... yes.  You've gotta like your boyfriend, don't you? ♥

✘   People picking on him for his lack of talking.
✘   People trying to take of his scarf or uncover his mouth.  The scarf is EXTREMELY precious to him, and despite how cool certain people see it to be, he really doesn't like when people touch or take it from him.
✘   Bitter or bland tasting foods.  They're just not pleasant for him.
✘   Rap or heavy metal.  The sound of it gives him an unbearable headache.
✘   Scary or intimidating looking people.  He has a harder time warming up to them.  People who are harsh or mean to him right off the bat are also not very liked.  This doesn't mean that he can't warm up to them... it just takes work from both parties to make some sort of a bond happen.
✘   Dirty or dusty places.  Being a housekeeper probably doesn't help, but it helps get his little ocd ticks out when they start to bug him.
✘   Cold water.  Since he's a ghost type, his body temperature is already pretty low, so he prefers being as warm as he possibly can.
✘   Sexual / flirtatious people.  The whole thought of sex is extremely scary for him.  He'd much rather be in a relationship with someone who would treat him nicely and give tons and TONS of warm hugs and snuggles.
✘   Drinking, or anything to do with alcohol.  He can't stand the smell of it, and if he attempts to drink, it makes him VERY nauseous.
✘   Zombie (or any other sort of undead) movies.  He just flat out hates them.  Other scary movies are okay, but zombie movies strike a particularly nervous chord for him.
✘   Death and the thought of dying.  Nirav clings very tightly to the idea of living, and if allowed to go into deep thought of what happens when he dies, he becomes very jittery and nervous, often refusing to talk to anyone about it.
✘   Sudden, loud noises.  He spooks kind of easily... sneaking up behind him to grab and scare him is also not liked very much.

★  Is intentionally mute.  Nirav prefers not to speak when he doesn't need to, and only uses sign language and a little dry erase board to speak to anyone.  The only time he opens his mouth to speak is to sing on special occasions.  
★  OBVIOUSLY has a very nice voice.  Nirav has a paper ad out for himself to be hired to sing at small night clubs and weddings in either Dos Velos or Las Vicio.  He very much loves singing, and loves to let people hear him.  His favorite song to sing is "Ave Maria".
★  Has exceptionally long canines, and he prefers to keep them covered up.
★  Nirav has a habit of floating around no matter where he's going and despite any looks he's given.  Walking is considered difficult for him and he prefers not to do it unless asked to do so... like when he's working.
★  Lives in a small apartment with a Haunter brother that rarely comes by.  The location is VERY close to Las Vicio.
★  When spooked a great deal, Nirav has a bad habit of 'misting', where his entire sort of 'evaporates' into a thick purple mist.  He can't stay in this state for more than a few seconds, but it is nice to be able to use if in a dangerous situation.
★  Has always wanted to own a dog, but since his apartment (and his brother) doesn't allow pets, he's been unable to keep one.
★  Other than singing, Nirav isn't particularly good at anything else (at least not from what he's found).  He's tried going to school, but found the classes to be very difficult for him and he eventually dropped out after his third semester.
★  When particularly stressed out, Nirav is known to smoke a cigarette, but it's never more than one at a time.  This is a rather rare occurrence, probably happening once every month or so.
★  Nirav is a TERRIBLE cook, and has a habit of ordering out or buying lots of frozen or canned foods to live off of.
★  He ALWAYS has his ipod on him, no matter what.  He's been given permission to use it while he works, so it can be difficult to find him with his headphones off to talk to at times.
★  Nirav has a CONSIDERABLE amount of blankets and pillows to sleep in.  He never has his air conditioning on and ALWAYS sleeps in a full cotton pajama set.  He also has a few stuffed animals he sleeps with every night.

★  He and Matt both met in a bank as it was being robbed.  Since Matt went out of his way to make sure he was safe, the two have been incredibly close ever since.

- Matthias - "He's my...b-boyfriend...~ ♥  I really like him.  He's incredibly kind and sweet...  I'm really happy we met when we did.  I don't know what I'd do without him."
